Today I made breakfast like any other day before a glimmer of time gone past flashed inside my mind. Seeds full of fat toasting on the pan as pleasant anticipation caused a smile.
I thought of my friend @yogayums – who continues to search deeply into her breakfast, beyond the morning brew, filling herself with love, teaching me that I can have some too.
Today, I made breakfast like any other day. I compiled some of my favourite things like dates, tahini, syrup too. I lay them together in a big beautiful bowl, not for any other reason than I already knew.
The very same drizzles that could send a chaotic mind into one of dismay, have taught me that deliciousness is deserved every single day.
Challenge hunger and be taught something far beyond the pangs. Today, I cooked apple & pear together with raisins in a pan.
Today, I made breakfast like any other day when I almost forgot that I am healing, which shows that I have grown – and that right there is everything I ever needed to know.
Because when you are healing, each day is not like any other – but a new chance to awaken, a rebirth, a calling home of the soul.
Today, I made breakfast like any other day for all those that are not here yet, for those so out of reach & for those that are very nearly on their way.
And that is why, I eat porridge, every single day.
